Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Counter24 (“we”, “us”) provides cloud retail POS and shop management software at https://counter24.in. Contact: support@counter24.in.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Counter24, we may process:
- Account & shop data — name, shop name, email, phone, address, GST-related details you enter.
- Operational data — products, inventory, customers, invoices, payments recorded in your workspace, and usage logs needed to run the service.
- Website enquiries — information you submit via the contact form or email.
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, and basic diagnostics for security and reliability.
3. How we use information
We use data to:
- Provide and improve billing, inventory, invoice, and report features
- Authenticate users and secure shop workspaces
- Respond to support and sales enquiries
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Process subscription payments when payment gateways are enabled (currently marked as coming soon)
We do not sell personal data.
4. Sharing
We may share data with infrastructure and service providers who help us host and operate Counter24 (for example cloud hosting, email, or future payment processors), under appropriate agreements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. WhatsApp & messaging
If your shop uses optional WhatsApp or SMS invoice delivery, messages are sent only when you (or your cashier) choose to send them and a customer phone number is available. You are responsible for having a lawful basis (including consent where required) to contact that customer.
6. Retention & security
We retain account and shop data while your workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal requirements. We use industry-standard safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable Indian law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing support@counter24.in.
8. Children
Counter24 is a business product. It is not directed at children under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of Counter24 after an update means you accept the revised policy.
